I am really sorry to bother you like this. But i need your help. Nowadays, our wikia has become quite lifeless so I am unable to search for new pages to edit. I will not have much time from tomorrow as my exams are starting from day after tomorrow. I've discovered this new way, where if we even just comment on someone else's talk page, our counter for editing daily will not reset. So from tomorrow onwards I will be commenting on this daily.
I don't want to waste any of your precious time, so don't even bother to read it.
Ps. I know this is quite prideless, but atleast it's better than wasting 80 days of hardwork.
Thank you soo much, Aaron-san!!
Oh, I see. You don't want to ruin your daily edit streak. I also had a streak once on the wiki I usually edit on. Sadly, I missed a day after about 200 days. I was hoping on getting at least a year :(
You could just add the charachter order of appearance for the chapter pages if you need something to edit.
I could do that but that is quite time consuming and atleast for the first week I am too busy because I've 4 exams including physics and chemistry. I wanted to add some pics actually from the latest chapters but those need some work too,I will surely add them after 28 (or probably after 6)
I'm really sorry but you see I am interested in becoming a chef too and I would like to talk to you. Are you there on fb or any other social handles? Let's talk then?! Onégaishimasuuuuuu
Btw I just saw that you added some stuff to your profile and I crii after reading it
No I was actually thinking about praline earlier but both praline and brittle are nut based and hence neither would give justice to the actual dish(as of now being the only impressive Momo dish). A tuile would also be not correct as it is typically almond based and it is usually twisted. Caramel Shard is possibly the best to define it as it is made of plain caramel.
Yes, a patissier. I can deal with long hours as well, but I understand how giving up time for family/friends can make things more difficult. I probably shouldn't be saying this, but sometimes, I do feel detached from others enough to act independently. That aside, I know my friends and family have a lot of faith in my ability even if I won't be able to see them all the time.
I do have a collection of cookbooks, but I tend to read 3 out of all the others. The first one would be The America Test Kitchen Cooking School Cookbook, which contains recipes tested and improved multiple times. They also have dishes that you wouldn't normally find in plain restaurants. The other two I usually read are The Flavor Bible and The Illustrated Cook's Book of Ingredients, which I both use to determine ingredient pairing and which flavors go well together.
To answer your last question, yes. I tried not to make it too obvious, but I am a high school senior. I'm assuming that you are older than me, so I hope that you will treat me well :)
Well, at least Wikia has a renaming option, but now that I think about it, I realized that I couldn't really come up with a second username for myself, especially since it's one time only. I hope you won't take offense to that as me ignoring your effort.
Do not worry, I will only be working on the ingredient sections for now. Once I'm done checking all the recipes, I may consider providing instructions and if I do, I will make sure it correlates with both the author's recipe and manga/anime material.
UPDATE: In retrospect, after tracking down source material for properly naming Nene's soba, I probably should be double-checking the ingredient lists by translating the original Japanese text. It'll take much more time, but I've used this method for my other wiki and it will undoubtedly confirm the ingredients used.
Thanks! I'm still a student, but I am pursuing a culinary career starting with college I was accepted into. I will be studying under baking and pastry, but I plan to learn just as much about cooking when I get there.
I was introduced to Shokugeki no Soma by several friends and all of the secret ingredients/techniques that they use really impressd me. In a way, SnS is pretty much study material for me.
If your forté is baking and pastry then maybe you would be thinking the same thing like me: All the SnS recipes are very ingenuine and impressive(I personally love the way they infuse umami flavor in savoury dishes)but Momo's dishes until now actually lacks such a thing.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing! So far, her dishes felt kind of unsurprising to me. I remember hearing someone comment on how the apple tart seemed very bland (tart crust+apples+rose syrup). The only thing that did surprise me was how she was somehow able to assemble a roll cake castle in under 1-2 hours.
Yep and she was even able to make the pulled sugar candy, I guess the timing is 3 hrs if I am not wrong but for baking so many swiss rolls you'd actually need so many ovens to bake them simultaneously then cool them and what not. But man I am waiting for the next chap., what will Erina make!?
