will erina and soma get together? whats with the rumour that she will leave him?
What's the point of having character galleries if nobody here is going to contribute to the characters? I can't do this all the time, why can't anybody help out?
Am I the only one that doesn't see any of the images in the volume infoboxes other then the standard image? If I click on "English" or "Alternate", no thumbnail is displayed for me. The actual link to he image is there, though, as can be seen in the status bar on the lower left.
So as of chapter 152 there's pretty much a war going down at Toutski Academy, in which the main belligerents being the Central Administration, the "pro-azami studnet population" and those who are being loosly called the "opossition factions" (PSD, opposing RS's, Ex-Elite 10, etc').
Knowing how the plot in this manga tends to manipulate events in interesting ways that in turn develop minor complexities over time, i thought it will be a good idea to organize the events of this so-caled "conflict" (which i like to dub as the "Tōtsuki Civil War") in its own seperate article, which will be in turn styled after the somewhat "traditional" format for conflict documentation that can be found in most Wiki's (prime examples being: The Syrian Civil War, Crimean War [Wikipedia] or The Brood War [Starcraft Wikia]).
To be more direct, the format which i refer to is the one that's primerlly composed of a general descripion of the conflict with an info table containing abastracted details about the belligerents (faction name/logo, alligence, leaders, manpower etc'), a background for the conflict and the turn of events as to be unfold (such as Shokugeki's or political actions, their effect on the conflict and so forth).
However, instead of just going ahead and writing an article as such, i would like to ask the people here of their optinion first.
So please do go ahead and tell me whether my idea is any good or not.
Guys, is it alright if we just give a name to this arc already? Like, the Polar Star Dormitory Arc, or the Polar Star Dorm Takeover Arc or something like that?
Also, where on Earth is this guy at? He's MIA and no one seems to care at the moment it's almost as if it's intentional!
All right,
Just read the MangaPanda scans of it. I got to say, my theory about the legal side of Totsuki coming in might be warranted with this chapter reveal.
So, basically, I was right - Eizan can't cook squat. Or he is not confident in his own cooking abilities and uses outside influences to cheat his way to success. I almost was fooled at first because when he started cooking, it seemed to me "Huh, guess I was wrong - he can cook, let's see what happens" but after I saw what happened, I said "O, you sick yankee!". The fact that he has now rigged the Shokugeki, probably the most sacred tradition at Totsuki, and is allowed to get away with it - makes me believe this is going to get more and more problematic for the Academy as a whole. Because, once it is found out that the Shokugeki system is now being rigged - a lot of former Totsuki members, instructors, staff and even leading experts in the cooking industry will challenge it. Of course, there is nothing solid they can do about it.............unless some legal ramification is brought up in regards to the Shokugeki itself. This is going to get big real quick with this revelation, unless they do some Prison School type thing where the judges are switched out in disguises and then, when Eizan and Soma battle - they test the dishes. My guess - Joichiro, Gin and the head of the Shokugeki Committee will disguise themselves as the ones that were bribed and fool Eizan at the start. And the head of the Shokugeki Committee will realize what's going on and maybe, that is where things will get into the legal side. Let's see what happens now but I think we can all guess what the next battle is going to be - Eizan Etsuya vs Yukihira Soma. And just to add possible wagers - if Soma wins, Polar Star is not demolished and Soma gains the 9th seat of the Elite Ten Council. If Eizan wins, Soma is expelled and the Polar Star Dorm is taken down.
I personally think the idea of having all the strong characters (save Akira and Subaru) in the Polar Star Dormitory signifies a great trigger to launch a direct confrontation with the Elite Ten.
Erina leaving Azami will most definitely anger him and with the Elite Ten on his side, it only makes my assumptions all the more clear. Nene giving Satoshi the side glare as well and Terunori not attending the Elite Ten meeting makes it even more suspicious.
Great ending imo. Patched up some missing pieces in the manga and didn't go too overboard with filling their own stuff.
Also, no Subaru. Lol.
I can't imagine this guy being the head of Tōtsuki. Why on Earth did 6 of the Elite Ten go with him? Props to Tōsuke, Satoshi and Terunori for not voting.
It should be mentioned how Joichiro mentioned professor Shiomi to Soma inside the dorm with the dorm keeper adding to the conversation in the manga, as opposed to just the two Yukihira's being out on the porch in the anime.
Rejoice, it's here guys. Guess this solves our qualms.
